Yesterday was my scheduled recovery day for the week. Last night at the basketball game my right calf decided to do the cramping thing again. I used Voltaen Gel and slept wearing a compression sleeve. This morning it feels better, but I have only been sitting around drinking coffee and catching up on my reading and writing. It's funny that in 2009 most of my lower body issues were left calf; in 2010 it is my right calf.
My goal for today is to lift and cross train.
I did not reach my goal today. I probably won't workout this weekend.

I ran 4.75 miles. 10 minutes easy then 5 x 1 minutes hard followed by 2 minutes easy. Finished with 13 minutes easy. My right hamstring is a little sore. LOts of stretching and foam roll for my calf and hamstring.

I had to fore go my planned incline TM workout today. I started feeling dizzy before lunch and thought maybe my blood sugar was low. After eating and returning to work I began to feel nauseous. This lasted for about 45 minutes.

Saturday we went to MTSU for Kristen's band competition. The bad thing was we had to leave so early. Not enough sleep.
Last night I was up 4 or 5 times with gi issues. I was not able to do the 5k I had planned to do.
I am looking in to buying a treadmill, with the goal being to increase my mileage.

I was reading Lolo Jones tweets today and she said she will be taking another week off. She also said that 97% of the T&F athletes have already started training for next year. This makes me consider if I should be taking some rest and recovery time.

I reviewed the results from last year's masters nationals. I am trying to determine which event would I have the greatest chance for success. Regardless of which I choose, it's going to take a tremendous effort to be elite.
